The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is committed to gathering and disseminating timely and accurate community information to media reporters, journalists, photojournalists and the citizens of Brunswick County.
The Public Information Officer is responsible for coordinating all news conferences that are called by the Sheriff, composing press releases and distributing them to the news media, providing Public Records in compliance with North Carolina State Laws and conducting special projects as assigned by the Sheriff and his command staff. The PIO is also the program coordinator for Citizen Observer.
The Public Information Officer is available to assist the news media Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and other times on an on-call basis.
